All of us who belong to the Hudson Mohawk Road Runners Club are united in our love of running and our desire to promote and participate in quality races and running-related activities.
Our Club organizes nearly 30 running events a year. Club races are held at many different locations throughout the Capital District. Our events offer something for everyone, novice and veteran alike.
We have an increasing need for volunteers as events become more and more demanding. Few would argue that a marathon, or a race of any distance, would be successful without its volunteers.
Volunteers do so much. They form the backbone of any race event. They greet runners, staff the registration table and distribute pre-registration race packages. They accept race day registration forms and verify that race day information is accurate at packet pick-up. They direct runners on the course and hold back traffic to ensure runner safety. Volunteers also call out times at mile markers, hand out water and assist at the finish line. And everyone should agree that the best volunteers provide encouragement to the runners along the course.
Without volunteers, we wouldn't have events.
We welcome any commitment of time. In return, we offer our sincere thanks, refreshments, and t-shirts at many races. Plus, we offer the events that you participate in as a runner.
