Electric City 10K Kicks Off Spring Racing Season

The 6th edition of the AREEP Electric City 10K took place on Saturday, March 7, 2026, serving as the official kickoff to spring road racing in the Capital Region. Staged from Schenectady's Mohawk Harbor, the fast and exciting event drew over 1,000 finishers, making it one of the larger road races in the area.

While conditions were on the colder side with some wind and wet pavement—a step up from the past couple of years—runners still delivered impressive performances. Notably, 272 participants completed their first-ever 10K, and 162 set new personal bests.
