A nearly perfect early Spring day greeted the over 300 runners at the Runnin’ of the Green on Saturday, March 12. Eric Macknight led the men over the 4-mile course in 19:57, while 17-year-old Julia Flower paced the women in 23:04. Albany Running Exchange captured the Open Men's title and Kinetic Running Club the Women’s title in the inaugural event of the USATF Club Championship.
Race Day is Sunday, October 9, 2016. New in 2016: Both races start at 8 a.m. and the course will be open for 6 hours. The Hannaford Half is sold out. Limited bibs are available through select charities.

2016 –– a new year for HMRRC and a renewed interest (I hope) in volunteering for the Club
Rich Messineo (2:43:20) and Jennifer Flaherty (3:37:04) posted victories in the 43rd running of HMRRC’s Winter Marathon on 2/21. The top relay team was the female squad of Molly Turner, Erin Lopez, and Karen Bertasso, which navigated the 26.2 mile course in 2:53:47

Among HMRRC’s efforts to promote running in the Capital District is our Shrader Scholarships. Each year, the club awards six $3,000 scholarships (three each to high school males and high school females.) The deadline for applications is April 1.
