The Pace Setter Magazine
Our award-winning monthly magazine, which contains schedules of local
and regional races, race results, articles on Club activities, and advice
on training, injuries, nutrition, equipment, and safety. Entry blanks
for major area races and advertisements from local stores are also included.
Each year, HMRRC awards $3,000 Bill Schrader Memorial Scholarships to three male and three female high school or community college runners. Candidates must be seniors in order to apply.
HMRRC grants of up to $1,000 are awarded to qualifying organizations that promote running within the Capital Region. Qualifying organizations can be clubs, races, or other parties.

Thirteen Free Program
Club members are able to participate in thirteen of our club’s running events with no entry fee. These events include our Winter Series events (with the exception of the Winter Marathon), the Distinguished Service Run, the Anniversary Run, and our Summer Series events.
Members are invited to attend our annual Awards Banquet in January.
Several local stores offer merchandise discounts to HMRRC members. Check
their ads in The Pace Setter.
Attending Club events will give you an opportunity to meet and make friends
with many other runners in the area.
Club members are actively involved in improving the quality of running
events staged in the Capital District and promoting greater awareness
of health and safety among runners and the general public. You can help
by working as a race volunteer or serving on a Club committee.
Club members benefit from reduced entry fees at Club races that are not part of the Ten Free Program.
