HMRRC Mission Statement
The Hudson-Mohawk Road Runners Club (HMRRC) is dedicated to promoting the sport of distance running
through education and training to promote running as a part of a healthy lifestyle, promoting personal
fitness and community through organizing and managing running events, providing means of communication
among club members and creating opportunities for social activities. We believe in encouraging
participation in running events for individuals of all levels of running abilities and acknowledge that
volunteer participation is a foundation upon which HMRRC exists.
Winter Series #4--Jan 25th
Day of race registration is located at the PE building at SUNY Albany, while the course covers the roads around the nearby Harriman Campus. The start is right next to the PE Building.
Winter Series #4 is part of HMRRC's five race "Winter Series", which begins in December and runs into February. Races begin at 10 a.m. We do offer day-of-race signups. The cost is $5. HMRRC Members run for FREE. If you are interested in becoming a member, an annual membership for HMRRC is $12 Click here for a membership application. A membership offers other benefits beyond entry into Winter Series Events. We have a membership table located inside the SUNY Albany PE building as part of the race signup if you would like to learn more.
Arrive roughly one hour early as there is often a line for signup. Club members can pre-register through the HMRRC website to save time -- Click on Meetings and Events and look for the listing for Winter Series #4.
Not able to run? Consider volunteering! The link above has a listing to volunteer for this winter series. These are very low key races, so please don't expect big crowds lining the course. We do usually have a great turnout of volunteers & course marshals who will offer their support. The races are not chip timed, and there are no race goodies except refreshments. There is always plenty of hot soup and other food on hand after the race. We also will be offering token prizes to the top overall runners and each of the top 2 performers in each age group (10 year age groups)
