HMRRC Mission Statement
The Hudson-Mohawk Road Runners Club (HMRRC) is dedicated to promoting the sport of distance running
through education and training to promote running as a part of a healthy lifestyle, promoting personal
fitness and community through organizing and managing running events, providing means of communication
among club members and creating opportunities for social activities. We believe in encouraging
participation in running events for individuals of all levels of running abilities and acknowledge that
volunteer participation is a foundation upon which HMRRC exists.
Marathon & Half Marathon Closed!
The Mohawk Hudson River Marathon and Half Marathon registration is now closed! Both races reached capacity in a little over two months. Beginning on May 12th, register for the Marathon waiting list at www.mohawkhudsonmarathon.com. The waiting list for the Half Marathon has been closed.
Volunteers Needed!
Many volunteers are needed in all capacities for the CDPHP Workforce Team Challenge on May 17 at 6:25 pm. Click here for details.
Training Clinics Announced!
HMRRC, in conjunction with the Mohawk Hudson River Marathon and Half Marathon Training Program, is offering free training clinics to those training for fall races: Clinic #1 - July 16: Food Weight & Runners: Finding the Right Balance with Nancy Clark MS RD CSSD, registered dietitian, board certified specialist in sports dietetics, weight coach, and author of Nancy Clark's Sports Nutrition Guidebook and monthly nutrition column The Athlete's Kitchen. Clinic #2 - August 15: Running Forever-Injury Free with Dr. Todd Shatynski, Sports Medicine physician, Medical Director of the Mohawk Hudson River Marathon and Half Marathon, marathoner and triathlete. Clinic #3 - September 13: Mental Training for Runners with Dr. Drew Anderson, Asst. Professor of Psychology at SUNY Albany and endurance athlete. HMRRC Rocking on the River Cruise
On Saturday, July 21, enjoy the company of fellow runners and volunteers as HMRRC sets sail aboard the Capt. JP II. Attire is dressy casual and formal presentations will be limited. The Cruise will depart dockside at 7:30 pm and return at 10:30 pm. Price includes music and a buffet dinner. Register here!

HMRRC Grants -- June 2, 2012
HMRRC grants of up to $1,000 are awarded to qualifying organizations that promote running within the Capital Region. Qualifying organizations can be clubs, races, or other parties whose activities are open to all runners. An application plus detailed grant information can be found here. This is the 2nd round of 2012 HMRRC Grants. Applications should be postmarked NLT May 31, 2012.

Production Editor Sought
The Pace Setter is looking for a production editor. This volunteer position is for someone who would like to put together the Pace Setter on a monthly basis. It's fun and easy and involves organization and some creativity. Time commitment approximately 5 hours a month. No special software needed. If interested, contact Robin.
