HMRRC Mission Statement
The Hudson-Mohawk Road Runners Club (HMRRC) is dedicated to promoting the sport of distance running through education and training to promote running as a part of a healthy lifestyle, promoting personal fitness and community through organizing and managing running events, providing means of communication among club members and creating opportunities for social activities. We believe in encouraging participation in running events for individuals of all levels of running abilities and acknowledge that volunteer participation is a foundation upon which HMRRC exists.

Bill Shrader Sr Memorial Scholarship Winners
Upon careful review and consideration of applications from a field of highly qualified candidates, the Bill Shrader Sr Memorial Scholarship Committee found the following individuals athletic achievements, scholarly accomplishments and extracurricular activities outstanding in ways that exemplify the values and ideals of the Shrader Scholarship program. Congratulations to this year's winners who will each be awarded a $3,000 scholarship. The recipients are:

2013 Distinguished Service Award
Congratulations to John Haley, winner of the 2013 Distinguished Service Award. John will be honored at the Distinguished Service 8-Miler, to be held at SUNY Albany on Sunday, June 9th at 9 am.

2013 HMRRC Grants
HMRRC grants of up to $1,000 are awarded to qualifying organizations that promote running within the Capital Region. Qualifying organizations can be clubs, races, or other parties whose activities are open to all runners. An application plus detailed grant information can be found here. This is the 2nd round of 2013 HMRRC Grants. Applications should be postmarked NLT June 1, 2013.

MHRM & Half Registration Closed
The October 13th Mohawk Hudson River Marathon and Half Marathon have both reached capacity and registration is now closed. A limited number of entries are still available through a Charity Partner, Homeless and Travelers Aid Society (HATAS). Please see www.mohawkhudsonmarathon.com Here for contact information. Questions? Volunteer Needed: Race Committee Chair
HMRRC is looking for a new Race Committee Chair. The chief responsibility is producing and maintaining the annual club race schedule including dates, race directors and venues. This individual also prepares and presents the Grand Prix and Extra Mile Awards at the annual club banquet. This person also responds to HMRRC race related questions and issues from the race directors and the running community at large.
