HMRRC Mission Statement
The Hudson-Mohawk Road Runners Club (HMRRC) is dedicated to promoting the sport of distance running
through education and training to promote running as a part of a healthy lifestyle, promoting personal
fitness and community through organizing and managing running events, providing means of communication
among club members and creating opportunities for social activities. We believe in encouraging
participation in running events for individuals of all levels of running abilities and acknowledge that
volunteer participation is a foundation upon which HMRRC exists.
HMRRC Annual Awards Banquet
This year's banquet will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at The Desmond on Albany Shaker Road in Albany. Pete Newkirk and Frank Myers will be inducted into the Hall of Fame. Social Hour will begin at 6 pm with a buffet dinner at 7 pm. The Running DJ, Brian DeBraccio, will provide the music for the evening's festivities. Reservations postmarked by 01/31/2012 are $30 per person (the price per person is $35 for any reservations post marked after this date). 2012 Distinguished Service Award Nominations
Nominations are now being accepting to honor club members who have served HMRRC with distinction over an extended period of time. Due by 3/1 or in person at 3/14 monthly meeting. Click Here for Nomination Form.
HMRRC Marathon Featured in Runner's World!
The January 2012 issue of Runner's World magazine highlighted HMRRC's Mohawk Hudson River Marathon as a seriously fast course and one of the top ten races nationwide that consistently produced the highest percentage of Boston qualifiers from 2006 to 2010 and delivered on all fronts (course, weather, superb organization). Winter Series Awards
Winter Series Participant Awards will be handed out at WS 5 and at the Marathon. Please look for Ed Thomas to hand in a award sheets (if you haven't already done so) and to collect your award. This can be done during registration and after the short race in the lobby area.

Production Editor Sought
The Pace Setter is looking for a production editor. This volunteer position is for someone who would like to put together the Pace Setter on a monthly basis. It's fun and easy and involves organization and some creativity. Time commitment approximately 5 hours a month. No special software needed. If interested, contact Robin.
Ad Director Needed for the Pace Setter
The Pace Setter is seeking a volunteer Ad Director to manage ad insertion for the magazine on a monthly basis. Time commitment is approximately 3 hours per month. If interested, please email Robin for more info.
