<description>Topic: Grand Prix Scoring

Message: When I set up the HMRRC G.P. to it's more or less current format in the mid-80s and compiled the scores for 5 or 6 years, I remember assigning one point to all club members who ran in a GP event. That is, for tenth through Nth I gave a single participation point so that the slowest among us (me for one) might at least show up in the list in recognition of a valiant try. In recent years it has stopped at tenth place. Eleven through the end get no recognition. I don't know at what point this changed.

Now that I've entered an age group where ten entrants are not always present I can gather up a few points by default, but I wonder if those in the lower ages aren't being slighted by this scoring system when they often work just as hard or harder to attain what they do.
